Thissa Bandara directs STA's Sri Lankan headquarters in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Thissa obtained a B.A. in English Studies from the Ellmirrah University. In addition, he completed further related studies in the USA, England, and the Netherlands. Subsequently, he was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Master's degree in Translation and soon after that joined ExpressValue inc, where he achieved practical familiarity in the translation field.He worked there for 9 years , prior to joining as STA's Director.

Thissa, a native of Sri Lanka, returned there in December 2001 to carry on STA's Sri Lankan operations.
